2. Now watch these videos below. This is from one of our local school districts, Elizabeth Forward. They are one of the "Schools to Watch" due to their advancements and initiatives in business and technology.
2a. How is this district different or the same from the district that you were schooled or are employed? Discuss.
2b. What are some things that stood out to you?
2c. Our country has a strong foundation that was built on small businesses. Do you think today's school systems adequately encourage students to be creative in entrepreneurship? What did you think of Elizabeth Forward's program?
3. One of the requirements for this course is to write your teaching philosophy. While this assignment won't be due for a while, it is important to start framing your thoughts on the role of the teacher (p39-42). Do you think teachers should be the guide on the side or the sage on the stage? How can technology facilitate flipped classrooms and inquiry based learning? Discuss.
4. Compare students’ technology use in their daily lives and in schools. Discuss the digital disconnect and reasons to engage students in using technology for learning. What are your thoughts on BYOD?"
